Earl Hafler and Joe Marino are neighbors who farm on approximately 50 acres in Hilltown Township, Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Earl is a 5th generation organic farmer and Joe came out of retirement as CEO of a nationwide company to try his hand at organic cultivation after working with horses for many years. They have an appreciation for the miracle of propagation and are passionate about organic policies. Both read about organics voraciously and were honored as USDA Certified 2008 Award Recipients for Outstanding New Organic Producers in their first year of business. Never satisfied with the ordinary, Joe and Earl specialize in multiple gourmet varieties within each vegetable classification. Their mission is simple: "Quality organic produce at its BEST!"

Are All Natural Foods Organic?
Absolutely Not! Foods may be free of artificial ingredients, or “natural” but still grown by harmful conventional methods. The term “certified organic” on the label means the food has been grown and processed according to strict guidelines, carefully documented and certified. Various terms are used by growers that sound as if they are the same as certified organic, such as "pesticide-free", or "residue-free". These are unregulated labels that imply that the grower has reduced use of dangerous toxins, but they are unenforceable and are not the same as Certified Organic!
Organic vs. Certified Organic?
Certification is your best guarantee. Anyone can say their products are organic however, only "Certified Organic" products are assured of being free of synthetic chemicals and harmful pesticides.
